The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence.The Logistics Manager oversees the life cycle of the incoming and outgoing Telecom Outside plant products that are used in our networks to provide Customers with services from our Data Centers.The Logistics Manager reviews telecom inventory, in-bound and out-bound shipments and keeps-up with our ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained to support build activities in all locations throughout the US. Working with networking, supply chain and 3rd party installation vendors, they create plans to optimize the flow of materials through the inventory and asset life cycle; tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns. They work closely with network deployment managers and 3rd party vendors to fulfill materials quickly and accurately and assure the business is never constrained due to missing or damaged materials. They make sure that their team works well with Procurement and network business development to purchase materials. They are responsible for accurate data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations.Additionally, the Logistics Manager will ensure that all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain and validated and ready for processing.The ideal Logistics Manager will contribute to continuous process improvements to deliver on our goals of high availability and low cost. This will include establishment of a basic process for inbound/outbound, supplying materials to the satellite teams throughout the country and expanding the scope of materials stored in the warehouse.They maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and create reports for internal and external suppliers and management as required.Responsibilities will include building, expanding and managing the performance of the Logistics program, but may also include performing manual tasks, such as assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of materials. They will also assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations. In handling incoming shipments, he or she may have to operate a forklift, unpack boxes and verify contents. The Logistic Manager will be required to assure their team maintains precise records of all commodities going in and out of company.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of work experience in logistics/SCM field. Inventory management experience. Goods receiving, inventory cycle counts and related auditing and stock control functions at numerous locations. Must have experienced with email, Microsoft Office (or equivalent), Excel online tools, working with database front ends and deriving reports and presentations. Site visits to Audit and review on site stock holdings. Facilitate with logistics and supply chain planning for remote project implementations. Generation of metrics for daily and weekly reviews. Good knowledge about computers and network equipment Must have experience dealing with freight haulers, overnight shippers, and air freighters.Experience with the creation and evaluation of requests for proposal for materials Ability to operate forklift Willing to take hands on approach. Must be Fluent in English both Written and SpokenPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with contract negotiations Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bridge time zones. Not afraid to take ownership, keeping positive attitude and resolve problems despite difficult circumstances Demonstrated inventory management experience at scale. Warehouse management experience Process setup and improvement experience Import/export related work experience Previous experience of participating or leading large scale technology projects. Datamining skills and analytical skills Effective prioritization and time management.
